Experience autumn in Tuscany: the leaves gradually turn color, the grapes ripen, and the harvest begins. Wine-cellars and vats fill and jam jars brim with fruit. In this enchanted land's most mellow and fine season, pick the grapes yourself and taste the new wine when all is done. Be there for olive picking and see how the unique and world-famous extra-virgin olive oil is made following timeless tradition. Of Tuscany's many virtues of, don't miss its delicious, wholesome cooking. It is based on grilled meats, game and fish, enhanced by its delicate local olive oil and accompanied by its best wines. Our route will lead you through farmhouses and wine-producers to allow you full appreciation of this bounty. We will organize a cooking course to introduce you to all the delectable produce of this region and initiate you to the secrets of Tuscan cooking.





Programm:

1st day: We will take you to the heart of Tuscany to enjoy it at its best. A visit to  the Charterhouse Monastery, one of the loveliest in Italy,  will be our gateway to the Chianti district. Upon reaching your countryside hotel, you  will have ample time to relax and explore the surroundings.


2nd day: You will visit a farming estate to take part in the grape harvesting,  scheduled on nature's varying calendar. Anyway you will truly enjoy savoring the picnic you have prepared: crostini, wine and various  gourmet specialities  including hams, salamis and cheeses.


3rd day: The day will be devoted to the Tuscan cooking course. Following  a tasty snack at lunchtime,  the dinner  will  allow you to sample all the delicious dishes created during the day.


4th day: Departure for Siena. After touring this medieval jewel of a city, you will  enjoy more tasty  food at  select farmhouses.
